C risp, golden leaves underfoot, wrapping up in the newly cooling breeze, the scent of a crackling fire; these are the moments that make autumn truly special. With the changing of the seasons, the UK erupts into a glorious cornucopia of oranges, yellows and reds, the tell-tale sign that autumn has arrived.

With these new sensory delights, what better way to take in the beginning of the season than with a refreshing walk?

Boasting breathtaking woodlands adorned in colour, scenic strolls along the water's edge and glorious rolling fields, the UK is not only home to some of the most beautiful scenery, but also one of the best places to enjoy an autumnal walk.

Waterfall Country, Brecon Beacons

Nestled on the south-westerly edge of the Brecon Beacons National Park , this beautiful area commonly known as ‘ Waterfall Country ’ is aptly named due to its abundance of dramatic waterfalls. We recommend walking the Four Falls Trail, with three of the spectacular waterfalls falling from the Mellte River and the last from the Hepste River.

Immerse yourself in the tranquil sound of flowing water, admire the glistening waters reflecting the autumn scenery and explore the picturesque trails in this spectacular area.

(There are two official car parks in Waterfall Country managed by the Brecon Beacons National Park Authority. Both take card payments of £5 per car).
